Thus, I transformed into Chihiro but did not drive to the abandoned amusement park. The subverted journey to liminal realm was taken together with Haku in his human form. Bewitching lilac trees in billowing balloons of fragrant air, wandering spirits, the indefinable aura of church bells sound, all woven with a pictorial narrative alternating between sullen and dreamy. It's so easy to send your real name into oblivion when musing endlessly on the intangible; easier to find yourself trapped in the imagined world forever, but Haku made sure that didn't happen. He knew what to do: he transformed into a white dragon and flew Chihiro to safety as she walked into the sprinkled baked with magic dust cupcake world, valiantly gaining her escape back to her real role as Cloudline.
