They've arrived at my door this morning and I can't wait for another self-indulgent exercise in vanity and images of the new look with these heels as a center-piece!
Today my mother asked me to prepare for her some of my famous (to friends and family) cupcakes for her girlfriends tea-party so I gladly got in business making vanilla cupcakes with two kinds of frosting: the chocolate one is nutella based and the pink one is vanilla with a hint of strawberry. It makes me so happy to bake and feel like an occasional cupcake queen :) You can find some extra cupcake pisc hereand here
I'll love those quirky weirdos on my feet next Spring by H&M Spring collection 2012. I imagine them styled with minimal femasculine pieces, sheer dresses, idiosyncratic and eclectic looks infused with both wit and naivety!
Stained glass ruby dress is what I chose today as a canvas to play around with black and mikado yellow details. It has become a fashion shorthand to say to the world that burgundy is the hottest color this season but I'm happy to have predicted that last year when I bought this wool 60's line dress. I love how it's simple yet powerfully related to the allure of an intellectual playful uniform. To me it says: " I'm deep, I'm cool and I can be playful and all grown up" and that's all it takes to be chic and cosy.

Today's look was inspired by Wallace Steven's poem "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird" one of the most siginificant poems and inspiration sources in the history of poetry. For me it creates an aura of mystery and ineffable knowledge one that cannot be captured in mundane reality but can be employed as a creative fountain for various visual representations.

Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi'sPreenSpring Summer line is a celebration of urban romanctic figures, a clear visual representation of Virginia Woolf's modernist vision and a sorbet coloured pallet of prim dreamy ensembles. Some pieces dominated by ruffles others in multi-color pixilated patterns and floral quasi geometric detailing all accomplishing a pure balancing through the multitude of impressions. "Time Passes" is the title of the second part of Virginia Woolf's 'To The Lighthouse' and present indeed transforms events but the past illuminates the present and Preen designs look ahead from the perspective of the 20th century Bloomsbury Group.
Nowhere else can such an avant-garde pair of heels be found. I really believed it so I made them mine in black and can't wait to pair them with a variety of different looks. You better hurry cause they're going to be out of stock in no time! ;)
